Discover our consortium: University of Surrey

The University of Surrey has excellent academics whose mission is to lead pioneering research and innovation to create new thinking around, and to provide practical solutions for, some of the world’s main technological and societal challenges. The Surrey Centre of Cyber Security (SCCS) is a university wide research centre established in July 2014 and is one of 19 Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) recognized by UK Government. SCCS activities include research in applied cryptography and trusted computing. These research themes cover the key technologies needed to achieve the ASSURED project’s objectives.

In the context of ASSURED, Surrey acts as a technical contributor. Working with other project partners, Surrey will design a trusted computing oriented blockchain wallet, which will make use of the state-of-the-art cryptographic technologies and guarantee the security, privacy and trust properties in supply chain of the ASSURED use cases. By supporting verifiable authentication and attestation, this blockchain wallet will allow users in the ASSURED use cases to safely access and run the ASSURED developed smart contracts.
