ASSURED at HiPEAC 2021

HiPEAC is a European network of almost 2,000 world-class computing systems researchers, industry representatives and students. HiPEAC provides a platform for cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promotes the transformation of research results into products and services, and is an incubator for the next generation of world-class computer scientists.

UTRC Ireland will hold a poster exhibition for ASSURED project, as part of the HIPEAC 2021 (virtual) conference, on the 19th of January from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET. UTRC is an industrial sponsor of the event. Please feel free to stop by the Raytheon Virtual Booth.

As the demand for increasingly autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSoS) grows, so does the need for advanced certification mechanisms that can enhance their security posture without compromising their safety. Existing validation methods require exhaustive offline testing of every possible state scenario prior to fielding the system. The EU-funded ASSURED project is introducing an innovative, formally verified runtime assurance framework for securing CPS supply chains: by leveraging edge computing eco-systems, a universal distributed solution will be developed for the transformation of CPSoS into distributed safety-critical CPSoS solutions, hosting multiple mixed-criticality applications. The project’s approach will ensure a smooth transition and advancement beyond current limiting strategies towards holistic security (attestation) services that are capable of reducing complex attack surfaces in (near) real-time.
